Taste (2019) is a slightly controversial animation about food shortage, mass production, over consumption and cannibalism.
It's meant as a horrific reminder of how we, humanity as a whole, are part of the mass production of food and the effects it has on the world we live in.
Character Design
As I created the characters, my main goal was to show diversity in shape and ethnicity. The music, characters and animation style are cheerful and quirky, to make the twist all the more surprising.
I've made several illustrations depicting suggestions of cannibalism, such as the images down below. They're part of a challenge called "Draw this in your style" by an artist on instagram @Hiba_Tan
